Carrier of the week #1
27 March 2017

Hello! Tell me about yourself!
My name is Jacques L, I’m 60 years old and retired. I own two houses, one in Nantes and the other in Paris.
What was your main motivation for using Cocolis?
Initially, I used Cocolis as a sender, and then I thought: “I could also help out instead of travelling with my car empty”, so I started to take charge and transport parcels.
Cocolis has a double benefit: it allows me to help others and also to make my journeys profitable.
What routes do you travel frequently? On what occasions?
Travelling between my two houses, I often do the Nantes-Paris or Paris-Nantes route, which are quite popular routes.
I also often go to Rouen, where my parents’ house is; I have to maintain it, so since I have to make the trip, I might as well take parcels.
Not to mention that when I visit friends in the North, I also take the opportunity to use your service.
How many deliveries have you made?
I have been registered on the site since April 2015, I’d say 30!
What vehicle do you use to deliver furniture and parcels?
I make all my deliveries with a Renault Trafic van, leaving my car aside 😉!
How did you hear about Cocolis?
I first discovered Colis-voiturage, but then thanks to Colis-voiturage, I found your site, which is much more efficient in terms of messaging and ad presentation.
In 3 words, what do you think of the concept?
That’s quite a difficult question! For me, 3 key words that characterise Cocolis are service, community, profitability, both for the carrier and the sender.
What is the most unusual item you have delivered?
Usually, I transport furniture, boxes, or even suitcases.
Has Cocolis allowed you to make great encounters?
Of course, especially with people from the North! 😉 Generally, it’s rare to spend more time with the people you meet, but some regularly offer a coffee, and when I have time, I take it with them, and it’s always extremely nice to chat!
Are you sensitive to environmental issues?
Yes, you could say I’m quite eco-friendly, I avoid driving empty, I try to fill my car with parcels, and I’m also registered on Blablacar. Always having my car full helps me contribute to less pollution!
