Protecting and respecting your privacy is important to us. Here you can learn about our practices regarding the collection, use, and sharing of your Personal Data.

1. Definitions
The following terms have the meanings set out below in this privacy policy when written with a capital letter.
"Listing": refers to the offer published on the Platform by an Advertiser or a Partner for the purpose of carrying out a Transport.
"Advertiser": refers, where applicable, to the Merchant or Individual who uses the Platform to send or receive a Good.
"Application": refers to the mobile application published by Cocolis, available on iOS and Android.
"Cocolis": refers to Cocolis SAS, registered with the Dijon Trade and Companies Register under number 813 144 797, which operates the Platform available at https://www.cocolis.fr and has created the database accessible via the Platform.
"Merchant": refers to any person using the Platform to send Goods as part of their usual commercial activity.
"Account": refers to the dedicated and individualised digital space of a User on the Platform.
"Co-carrier": refers to an Individual who uses the Platform to transport a Good as part of a journey they make for their own account and on a non-profit basis, except for cost sharing.
"Personal data": means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
"Partner": refers to any person who has signed an API provision contract operated by Cocolis and publishes Listings labelled under their name.
"Platform": refers to the digital matchmaking platform operated by Cocolis and accessible from the Site or the Application.
"Journey": refers to information relating to a specific journey published by a Co-carrier or a Carrier on the Platform for the purpose of carrying out a Transport.
"Carrier": refers to any person acting in a professional capacity and using the Platform to transport Goods for a fee.
"User": refers, where applicable, to a Merchant, an Individual, a Carrier, a Partner and/or any person using the Platform, whether or not they have an Account.
"Service": refers to the matchmaking service and all the features offered by the Platform.
"Site": refers to the website www.cocolis.fr and all its subdomains.
Unless required by context, terms and definitions in the singular include the plural and vice versa.
2. The personal data we collect
When you use our Platform, we may ask you to provide us with personal data about yourself.
2.1. Data you provide to us
- Data required for your registration: surname, first name, email address, date of birth, title, phone number
- Data required for payment: your address, bank details, a copy of your ID
- A photograph of yourself
- Your posts on the Platform: submitted journeys, listings, messages, reviews, etc.
- Payments or transfers made on the Platform
- Items you share with us when you request our help or information
- Data relating to your location, to allow us to find available offers around you (only if you have accepted it).
- Data relating to your real-time location, via the mobile application in the background, to allow us to notify you of new offers around you (only if you have accepted it).
- Information about your company if you create an account for a legal entity (Siret number; and if the registration concerns a Carrier: transport licence, insurance, Kbis, UBO, T&Cs).
2.2. Data collected automatically
- If you register or log in to the Site using features provided by partners (Facebook Connect, Apple Connect and Google Connect), Cocolis will have access to certain data from your existing account with the partner, in accordance with their terms of use (for example, for Facebook: first name, surname, photo, email address)
- When you visit the Site or when we send you an email, we may collect information about how you interact with the content. Among the technologies used to collect this information, we use cookies in particular (see article 7)
2.3 Other data
We generate information from your use of the Platform: your response rate to messages, your registration date, the average and number of reviews received, etc.
Information about you may also be provided to us by other Users of the Platform, particularly in reviews received.
This information may be displayed on your public Cocolis profile.
3. Recipients of the information
As part of using the Platform, some of your information is shared with other Users, via your profile or as part of a booking: for example, we share your phone number with the person you have booked with.
In addition, to provide you with the Service, we work with a number of parties who may have access to your Personal Data:
- The payment provider Mangopay (Crédit Mutuel Arkéa) who manages the various payments and financial flows and is a joint controller of the processing carried out for this purpose
- Partners
- The insurer MUTUAIDE in the event of a claim
- Public bodies to meet our legal obligations
- Audit services (in particular statutory auditors)
- Legal auxiliaries, ministerial officers and organisations responsible for debt collection in the event of a dispute
Finally, we use subcontractors who process your Personal Data on behalf of Cocolis:
- Hosting provider
- Platform developers
- Audience measurement solution
- Mailing solution
- Office suite
- Customer relationship management solution
- Online mapping solution
- Helpdesk software
- Business telephony solution
- Collaborative communication platform
- Project management software
- Analytics solution
The use of certain service providers involves the transfer of your Personal Data outside the European Union, in particular to the United States. In this case, we ensure that the data transfer is governed by appropriate legal tools: adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses, binding corporate rules.
4. Retention period
4.1. Regarding data relating to the management of our business relationship
Your personal data will not be kept for longer than is strictly necessary to manage our business relationship with you. However, data that can be used to establish proof of a right or contract, which must be kept in order to comply with a legal obligation, will be kept for the period provided for by the applicable law.
4.2. Regarding identity documents (natural or legal person)
For individuals, identity documents are sent directly to our banking provider Mangopay, in an encrypted and secure manner, so that your identity can be verified. They are not stored on Cocolis servers.
For legal entities, identity documents are first collected by Cocolis for verification. Once this validation has been carried out, they are sent to our banking provider Mangopay in a secure manner. After transmission, these documents are deleted.

4.3. Regarding bank card data
Financial transactions relating to the payment of purchases and fees via the site are entrusted to a payment service provider who ensures their proper execution and security. For the purposes of the Service, this payment service provider may receive your personal data relating to your bank card numbers, which it collects and stores on our behalf. We do not have access to this data.
4.4. Regarding the management of opt-out lists for marketing
Information enabling us to take account of your right to object is kept for a minimum of three years from the date the right is exercised.
4.5. Regarding audience measurement statistics
Information stored on users' devices or any other element used to identify users and enable their tracking or attendance will not be kept for more than 6 months.

6. How do we moderate your messages?
We may need to review your conversations with other Users:
- For support purposes, with your consent;
- For fraud prevention purposes: we have implemented an automated process to analyse exchanged messages to ensure they do not contain any contact details, to prevent a User from bypassing our online booking system.
7. Cookies
Some cookies placed by the Site require your prior consent. For example, we use Google Analytics, a tool for measuring and analysing audience: number of visits to the Site, number of pages viewed, activity, city from which the User connects, etc.
When you first visit the Site, a banner informs you of the presence of these cookies and invites you to indicate whether you accept or refuse the placement of these cookies. Your choice is kept for 6 months, unless you change your choice or clear your browser cache in the meantime.

8. Your rights
You have the following rights regarding your Personal Data, in accordance with data protection legislation:
- Right of access: you have the right to obtain a copy of the Personal Data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: if you find that some of your Personal Data is inaccurate, you have the right to request its correction.
- Right to erasure of your Personal Data: you have the right to request the deletion of your Personal Data, provided it is no longer necessary for the purposes set out in article 5.
- Right to object: where the processing of your Personal Data is based on our legitimate interest, you have the right to object for reasons relating to your particular situation. If your Personal Data is processed for marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time.
- Right to restriction: in certain cases, you have the right to ask us to suspend the processing of your Personal Data;
- Right to data portability: where the processing of your Personal Data is based on the performance of the T&Cs or your consent, you have the right to receive the Personal Data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used format.

9. Third-party services
To make it easier for you to register or log in to our Site, you can authenticate on our Site via a partner network account. Simply click on the dedicated button such as "Login with Facebook" if you have a Facebook account to automatically pre-fill your Cocolis registration form with the information you have already provided to the Facebook Social Network. We may collect, as a recipient, information when you browse our Social Network pages or use their authentication features. We offer Facebook Connect, Apple Connect and Google Connect.
10. Modification
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify this policy at any time, in whole or in part. These changes will take effect upon publication of the new policy. Your use of the site following the entry into force of these changes will constitute your acknowledgement and acceptance of the new policy. Otherwise, and if you do not agree with the new policy, you should no longer access the site.
