Day 25: Let’s act together 🤝

10 April 2020

Hello,

We hope you and your family are as well as possible during these challenging times.

Many of you responded to our last Newsletter. We discovered that many of you are willing to help someone in need. A huge thank you to all of you for that. As promised, we are getting back to you with the solution we have considered, following your feedback.

Today, we are launching a new section on Cocolis: Solidarity Delivery. The idea is, while respecting lockdown rules, to allow those who want to help to get in touch with a “neighbour” in need. This “neighbour” could be an individual or a hospital that needs essential goods delivered.

solidarity delivery

How does it work? It’s very simple.

Do you have a vehicle (bike, car) and some time? Register a route on Cocolis, and you’ll be notified when a solidarity delivery request is posted near you.

Do you need essential goods delivered? Post a solidarity delivery request.

Of course, these new features are also available on the Cocolis app, which you can download on Google Play or download from the App Store.

This new “Solidarity Delivery” section is only for co-transporters who want to help. It is a voluntary action. It is free for those posting a delivery request and unpaid for those willing to make deliveries. Cocolis does not take any money from these operations.

We can all make a difference.

Are you completely overwhelmed, trying to juggle work, homeschooling, and all the logistics of your new lifestyle? Does it seem impossible to help? Think again! Just forward this email to someone you know who has time, or, conversely, send it to a person, association, or hospital who could really use this service!

We’d also like to let you know that we’ll soon be creating a support space where we can all come together. You’ll be able to chat live with other community members and the Cocolis team. We’ll also be able to share ideas for getting through this crisis as best as possible. You’ll soon receive an invitation to join us.

While waiting for this new space, you can always find us on social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) or by email at contact@cocolis.fr, to answer all your questions and hear your suggestions.

And don’t forget…

Follow the government safety guidelines

As with any trip, if you are delivering essential goods, you will need to prepare a digital travel certificate stating “assisting vulnerable people” as the reason.

The entire Cocolis team joins me in thanking you for your goodwill.

See you soon,

Eliette and the whole Cocolis team
