Emmaus X Cocolis

We meet Raymond S., who delivered a kitchen unit for another Cocolis user that she had bought on the Emmaus website. We are proud of this first collaboration because at Cocolis, we really appreciate the values that are upheld by Emmaus:

Hello! How did your contact with the Emmaus community go?

The exchanges on the site were with Thomas, a volunteer at Emmaus who had posted the ad for the person. It was perfect. When I arrived at the Angers community, the person waiting for me had prepared the furniture. All I had to do was put it in my boot. Two other people helped me with that. There are always a lot of people on the Emmaus campus.

The person the furniture was for was a pregnant woman, so I helped her carry the furniture into her home, and I was thanked with a bottle of champagne.

Did you know the furniture came from the Emmaus Community?

Yes, Thomas told me, and I knew the transport was for the benefit of the Emmaus community in Angers. We kept in touch regularly to agree more easily on the different aspects of the transport.

Would a partnership between Emmaus and Cocolis be useful to you?

Yes, definitely! The Angers Community was great, someone welcomed me kindly, two people helped me load, and the furniture was very well packed.

Would you do this again?

Yes, why not! As long as it fits with my travel plans, there’s no problem, especially if I get along well with such considerate people! The Emmaus communities seem very well organised.

We need people like Thomas all the time, that would be great!
