#TESTIMONIAL: Xavier, a carrier between Lille and Paris
18 April 2019

Xavier spends time in his Volkswagen between Lille, where he lives, and Paris, where he works as an IT specialist. Since the beginning of the year, he has been using Cocolis and covers his tolls and a large part of his diesel costs by delivering parcels.
Xavier has the Cocolis reflex, and he tells us his story.
What journeys do you make frequently? And on what occasions?
I live in Lille and work in Paris. I make this trip almost every other week.
What was your main motivation for using Cocolis?
Mainly to make my journeys more profitable. Also, it's a chance to meet nice people.
What do you and your parcels travel with?
A Volkswagen Polo.
What types of parcels do you deliver? Have you ever come across a rather unusual parcel?

A bit of everything: notably crates of beer (Editor's note: every beer lover should visit Lille). But the most unusual was a large decorative shop sign letter.
How did you hear about Cocolis?
At the time, a company that also offered parcel carpooling (but in Africa) contacted me to build their website. Although the project didn't go ahead, I took the time to discover the world of parcel carpooling and signed up to Cocolis. I finally activated my account after receiving a little newsletter from Eliette. And since then, I have the Cocolis reflex for my Paris-Lille round trips.
What do you think of the concept?
For me, it's the perfect extension of Le Boncoin. In fact, it was a bed I found on Le Boncoin.fr that I transported the first time. Above all, it's reliable (the parcel isn't thrown in with 36 others).
And it's more flexible than Blablacar, which I also use sometimes. But with Cocolis, the schedules are more flexible, better suited to my pace.
If you had 3 words to define Cocolis?
ECONOMICAL, RELIABLE, EFFICIENT
Has Cocolis allowed you to make great connections?
People are always very friendly. For some parcels, like the crates of beer, I get to see the recipients several times; it creates a bond. When I deliver, it's in a tiny one-way street and I can't stay there. Next time, I'll park elsewhere to enjoy a beer with them.
Enjoy your drink, Xavier. On your next visit to Paris, come and have a toast with us.🍻
