What if Cocolis was in the movies?
12 August 2020

We all know that parcel carpooling is super useful in real life! But not just that! In some movies too, a good use of co-shipping could really have changed everything! In this article, we talk about those protagonists whose lives would have been much easier with Cocolis.
Klaus, by Sergio Pablos

Let's illustrate our point with a first piece of fiction: Klaus. In this animated film from 2019, Jesper, the hero, finds himself stuck in the small northern town of Smeerensburg, where warmth is as rare as sunshine... The inhabitants are split into two rival clans and both verbal and physical confrontations are constant. Our dear Jesper has to reconcile them.
If only Cocolis had been there to help! A friendly and supportive co-shipping service would have saved him so much time... In no time, he could have opened up the town and reintroduced exchanges between people!
La Traversée de Paris, by Claude Autant-Lara

Back in 1956, Louis de Funès, Jean Gabin and Bourvil had already thought about parcel carpooling, believe it or not! Though a lot less organised...
To transport four suitcases full of pork during the Occupation, Martin is forced to call on a complete stranger for the delivery. They run into all sorts of complications and, in terms of safety, they're a long, long way from Cocolis standards!
The Lord of the Rings, by Peter Jackson

This trilogy follows the quest of the hobbit Frodo Baggins, who aims to destroy the One Ring and bring down its creator, the evil Sauron. Here, the concept is very close to Cocolis: a trusted person to deliver an item, a journey across the country, a community... But if Frodo had been able to count on the strength and kindness of the Cocolis community during his quest, it would have been much calmer and shorter. We're not saying his nine companions were useless, no, just that at Cocolis, we're more numerous and more experienced.
If you have a quest to complete, think of Cocolis!
The Transporter, by Louis Leterrier and Corey Yuen

Of course, we couldn't write this article without mentioning The Transporter, starring the one and only Jason Statham. Frank Martin, his character, is as committed to his deliveries as any Cocolis user. However, he faces countless mishaps, each more dangerous than the last. Why? We have the answer. This adventurer has set up a series of rules that inevitably lead him into trouble. So Jason/Frank, if you're reading this, at Cocolis, the (Co)Transporter rules go more like this:
- Never back out once you've committed.
- Verified identity for extra security.
- The right to check the contents of the parcel.
- Never break the rules under any circumstances. (That one stays the same.)
Also, let's not forget, Cocolis is a big, friendly community, not just one man. It's much more relaxing. And our platform gives you a fair price estimate, making negotiations easier.
Maybe Eliette Vincent and Julien Lardé got the idea from this film, who knows? One thing's for sure now: Cocolis is more powerful than Frank Martin!
After bringing reality into fiction, let's do the opposite. Imagine a world where parcel carpooling through time was possible... You can picture the perfect film to illustrate this idea, right?

Back to the Future, by Robert Zemeckis
Just imagine sending parcels via young Marty McFly and Doc in their DeLorean! That would be seriously cool!
Whether it's to find an object from the past, or to send the gift you forgot at the last Mother's Day, time-travelling parcel carpooling would be a real boon!
The cost would probably be higher than usual, but we could literally send an item to any moment in time.
If only! 😉 We hope this article has entertained you in this hot August! If you want more inspiration for using Cocolis, check out this blog post on the best travel and road trip movies.
