Professional transporter,
how does it work?
Cocolis gives moving companies and transport firms the opportunity to fill up their loads with goods from individuals.

Are you a professional transporter?
Cocolis gives transport and moving companies the opportunity to fill up their loads. Because an empty journey is bad for both your turnover and the planet, Cocolis is the solution to maximise the profitability of your trips.
The idea is:
✓ to allow transporters and movers to apply for delivery and moving requests.
✓ to offer a professional solution to Cocolis shippers who need to transport goods that can't be handled by co-transporting between individuals.
Registration for transporters on the platform, communication with clients and use of the site are completely free for transport professionals. No hidden fees, we want Cocolis to be like a free freight exchange!

Whether your trips are one-off or regular, we strongly recommend that you save an alert for your future journeys; this will allow us to send you a notification via our mobile app or by email as soon as a parcel delivery request matches your route.
That way, you no longer have to search for the parcel that will cover part of your transport costs before each trip.
To save a route alert, go to the "Propose a route" page
Payment takes place in several steps:
You agree with the sender on the price and delivery date.
The sender pays on Cocolis. The money is held until delivery.
On the day of delivery, the recipient gives you a code. You confirm delivery by entering this code on the chat page, or the sender confirms delivery directly from their Cocolis account.
The money is immediately available in your Cocolis wallet. The payment can be found in the “My payments” section of your account. You can request a transfer at any time.
💡 Before requesting your transfer:
Check that the delivery has been confirmed by the sender or by yourself using the confirmation code (you should then see the delivery amount available in your My payments area)
Check that your identity has been verified on Cocolis
Your income depends on your activity.
To find deliveries, either you search for ads on Cocolis, or you register your routes. If you register your routes, you will be contacted by companies or individuals looking for transporters.
On average, a transporter earns €1,000 per month, with the most active earning up to €5,000.
Earnings increase over the months as transport requests rise sharply on Cocolis, especially for removals or business requests.
If you want to work as a road haulage operator, you must first obtain a “goods transport capacity” certificate, which proves your ability to transport goods.
If your vehicle weighs less than 3.5 tonnes, you will need to take a training course.
For vehicles over 3.5 tonnes, the capacity is granted either through your qualifications, a written exam, or if you have more than 10 years' experience in the profession.
The application for transport capacity is made using the Cerfa n°11414*05 form.
Once you have obtained your goods transport capacity, you must have a goods transport licence. This licence is mandatory to take deliveries on Cocolis.
The licence will determine your exact activity (removals, industrial, etc.) and the vehicle used. It is subject to several other conditions:
- Registration with the Trade and Companies Register (RCS)
- An establishment requirement (head office or premises located in France)
- Professional integrity (no ban on practising or criminal record)
- Financial capacity (blocked cash reserve)
The application for a transport licence is also made using a form: Cerfa n°16094*02 for companies or Cerfa n°16093*02 for sole traders.
Forms must be sent to the DREAL (Regional Directorate for the Environment, Planning and Housing) or to the DRIEA (Regional and Interdepartmental Directorate for Equipment and Planning) if your company is based in Ile-de-France.
Cocolis asks professional transporters for several documents, including the articles of association or the list of shareholders (register of beneficial owners).
This is a legal requirement. The law requires platforms like Cocolis to know all the recipients of funds paid as part of a member's activity on the platform.
Don't worry, a company's articles of association and shareholders are public information. There is nothing secret; they can be consulted free of charge by anyone. So we are not asking you to provide us with sensitive or confidential information.
These documents (signed and up to date) are required in order to receive your payments.
For your information, these documents are neither read nor kept by Cocolis. They are automatically transferred to our payment provider (Mangopay) for validation.
