Interview with Luc, classic car enthusiast and… Cocolis fan!

We met Luc, an individual passionate about classic cars who has, among other things, fragile car parts sent to him thanks to Cocolis. Convinced by co-transportation, he talks about it in this interview, just as he often does with those around him!

Can you introduce yourself?

My name is Luc G., I am vice-president of the company Vipp, a customer relationship management centre in Central Africa.

I use Cocolis for personal purposes, and on a regular basis.

What was your first experience with Cocolis?

I was restoring two classic vehicles. And for that, I needed parts I couldn't find elsewhere. I had to have rear wings for a Triumph TR2 shipped to Paris, but I couldn't find low-cost AND quality deliveries. These are, in fact, fragile parts.

I did an online search, and so I received my first parcel via Cocolis! I had these rear wings transported without any special packaging, but flat, in the back of a vehicle. They arrived without a scratch.

I then used Cocolis again for the same type of shipments, always to Paris.

What items have you received thanks to Cocolis?

One co-transportation, in particular, impressed me with its speed. I had to collect five tyres from around Lyon, and someone could pick them up a few hours later. That same evening or the next day, the parcel was delivered.

Apart from that, I've had various car parts sent to me, as well as radiators. Now, I recommend my friends have car parts sent this way.

Have you also been a co-transporter on Cocolis?

No, I haven't had the reflex; but I could. Why not! Maybe one day?

On the other hand, I use Cocolis in another way: the platform allows me to calculate how much, in total, the purchase of an item and its delivery would cost. That way, I know if I can afford it. That's what I did for the very heavy radiators I bought in Bayonne. I often buy items on leboncoin, so it's handy for getting an idea. If it's complicated to buy, I give up.

What aspects matter most to you about Cocolis?

One of the advantages, compared to many other sites, is the simplicity of the platform, which is really intuitive!

The fact that the money goes through the platform, for example, and is then held until the co-transporter gets the code at delivery, is an ingenious solution, and preferable to direct payment.

Cocolis helps save on fuel and toll costs, but above all, encourages care for the parcels being transported. Co-transporters want to do their job properly, especially since it's not their profession. Maybe they put themselves more in the shoes of other individuals, too. If you need to send a vase or fragile crockery in a boot, there's no risk of it being broken.

So, when people ask me if I'm not afraid to entrust my parcels to individuals I don't know, I answer no, not at all. It's actually a beneficial way of transporting for everyone involved!

I've never had any problems with Cocolis. I'm no more worried than if I used a professional service, which could just as easily lose my parcel. This trust that builds between Cocolis users is precious.

Co-transporting, to connect

Two of my experiences show the friendly side of Cocolis. A co-transporter once delivered car parts to me. He knew nothing about vintage cars, but ended up being very interested in the subject!

Similarly, an individual told me at first that he had an appointment and couldn't stay after delivering to me. But in the end, we got on so well that he didn't seem to have an appointment anymore! We ended up chatting for an hour.

These contacts that Cocolis encourages seem essential to me. The platform recreates human-to-human relationships, just as people are getting tired of being alone in front of their screens. There is a real search for human contact, which Cocolis answers.

Because of my professional activity, I am particularly sensitive to customer relationship issues, and to the services companies provide to their customers. No doubt Cocolis is too!
